Downtown Economic Development Plans

The Downtown Development Plan outlines the goals, objectives, policies, recommendations and implementation strategy for the downtown in the coming years. Included is a plan to establish three revitalization districts: the Gateway, River Walk and the Art, Education and Entertainment District. The plan was adopted by Fond du Lac City Council on February 10, 2010.

On April 29, 2010 the Downtown Fond du Lac Partnership and the Fond du Lac Arts Council invited the community to the Windhover Center for the Arts to unveil the visionary plan for the  proposed Downtown Fond du Lac Arts and Entertainment District.

The plan is based on community feedback from several meetings and open forums held the week of February 15-19.  The plan aims to improve the quality of life, create a sense of community pride, expand economic growth and job creation, with an overall goal of increasing property values.
