2010 Achievements

  • Fondue Fest attracted 20,000 people to the downtown and created an estimated $700,000 in economic impact.
  • Farmer’s Market attracted 25,000 people to the downtown.
  • Sidewalk Sale attracted 5,000 people to the downtown, and brought in an estimated $50,000 in economic impact.
  • Monster March trick or treating is planned to take place October 24.
  • Home for the Holidays events are planned for November 12-14 and December 5.
  • Completed an event analysis for each annual event to determine the future viability of each event.
  • Administered a post-event analysis to determine the economic impact versus various factors. Determined if events will go forward into the following year, if the event will be modified, or to abandon the concept.
  • Developed an efficient system to plan and carry out each event to minimize meeting time and duplicating efforts.
  • Created an annual sponsorship drive to raise money for all events. Modified event budgets based on the outcome of the sponsorship campaign.
